Anxi's unique environment, with its cool, misty mornings and abundant rainfall, creates perfect conditions for growing premium Tie Guan Yin. History & Craftsmanship of Tie Guan Yin

Tie Guan Yin has a rich history dating back to the Qing Dynasty. According to legend, a poor farmer named Wei Yin found a neglected temple with a statue of the Iron Goddess of Mercy (Guan Yin). He decided to clean and care for the temple, and in gratitude, the goddess appeared to him in a dream and led him to a hidden tea plant. This plant produced exceptional tea leaves, which Wei Yin cultivated and shared with his neighbors. The tea became known as Tie Guan Yin, named after the goddess. Today, Tie Guan Yin is celebrated worldwide for its unique flavor and cultural significance, continuing to be a beloved choice among tea enthusiasts.
