Direct from the Origin

Da Hong Pao tea is meticulously crafted in the Wuyi Mountains, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its ideal tea-growing conditions. The region's unique rocky soil, high humidity, and misty environment create the perfect terroir for cultivating this high-quality oolong tea. The tea leaves are hand-picked and processed using traditional methods, including withering, rolling, and roasting. The natural environment of the Wuyi Mountains imparts a distinctive "rock rhyme" to the tea, enhancing its unique flavor and quality.

History & Craftsmanship of Da Hong Pao

Da Hong Pao has a rich and storied history dating back to the Ming Dynasty. It is said that the mother of a Ming Dynasty emperor was cured of an illness after drinking this tea, prompting the emperor to gift large red robes (Da Hong Pao) to the tea bushes. These original bushes still exist today, and their cuttings are used to produce the current Da Hong Pao tea. Celebrated for its unique flavor and cultural significance, Da Hong Pao continues to be one of the most treasured Chinese oolong teas, appreciated by tea connoisseurs worldwide.
